A bridging visa will ordinarily come with work rights and allows you to stay, work and study in Australia during the processing of your partner visa.
If you are holding a Bridging Visa A after lodging your Partner visa in Australia, you must seek permission to travel from the department. If you leave Australia on a bridging visa A without the appropriate permission you will not be allowed to reenter Australia unless you have a valid visa i.e. the Bridging Visa A does not allow you to reenter Australia.
You do have the right to appeal to the relevant Immigration Tribunal. However certain requirements are required to be met at the time you apply for the partner visa. If these are not met and your application is refused you will not be subsequently be able to overturn the refusal at the tribunal appeal stage.
Despite the enormous expense that an appeal may cost you, you may in fact have to leave Australia if your partner visa is refused.
